My Favourite Spots in Manitoba

Choosing a location for your engagement session can be tricky. When couples come to me asking for ideas, the first thing I’ll tell them is to think of a location that holds some sort of meaning - it can be where you had your first date, where you got engaged, or somewhere you like to hang out. If that fails to prompt any inspiration, I will ask what kind of “setting” they’re most interested in and send them a list of ideas that I think might work. Exchange District

Filled with so much historic architecture, alleyways and rooftops, the Exchange District is definitely a unique spot for engagement photos.

Birds Hill Park

There’s something so romantic about Birds Hill Park. There’s so many different locations within the park and wide open spaces. This park is perfect for couples that want a little more privacy for their session.

Assiniboine Forest/Assiniboine Park

Conveniently located in Winnipeg, here you’ll find stunning foliage photos along with the conservatory at The Leaf, a serene pond, the Leo Mol Garden Park, and picturesque backgrounds in the forest which is less than a five minute drive from the park.
